How Can You Do That?
The short answer is we researched PV, CSP, even antiquated solar ponds. We took some from each and added some innovation such as… Instead of passively collecting sun, we collect it and use concentrators in concert to maximize the sunlight we can capture and the climates we can operate in. Instead of spending hundreds of thousands or even millions on solar salt and it’s infrastructure, we use beds of basalt rocks ($0.05 per kg). This simple approach allows us to eliminate hundreds of thousands more in expenses by getting rid of many expensive heat exchangers and plumbing. Finally, our patent pending approach to solar concentrators takes 25 square feet instead of hundreds acres.
